Kapil Sharma Early Life
He was born on 2 April 1981 in Amritsar, Punjab. Kapil was born in a Punjabi family, and his father, Jeetendra Kumar Punj, was a head constable in Punjab, and his mother, Janak Rani, is a homemaker.
However, in 1997 his father was diagnosed with cancer and died in 2004 at the hospital. Kapil did his schooling at Shri Ram Ashram Senior Secondary School, Amristar, and completed his graduation in Arts from Hindu College in Amritsar.
When he was in college, he participates in various singing, dancing, and drama competitions. During his childhood days, his nickname is Kappu. Most of his friends and family members called him by this name.

Early Career
He began his career in 2006 when he took part in the Punjabi comedy reality show Hasde Hasande Ravo which was telecasted on MH One.
After this show, he participated in another Punjabi comedy show, The Great Punjabi Comedy Show. But Kapil’s career took off in 2007 when he participated in and won the Hindi comedy reality show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Season 3.
For winning this show, he got a cash prize of ₹10 Lakh. Furthermore, later on, from 2008 to 2013, he had appeared in various other comedy shows such as Ustaadon Ka Ustaad, Hans Baliye, Comedy Circus, and Star Ya Rockstar.

Shows Controversy
Till now, Kapil has got into controversies a lot of times. He first gets into a controversy in 2014 when at the last moment, he refused to host the event of Celebrity Cricket League Season 4 with Mandira Bedi. He did this because he didn’t get a vanity van on of his own.
In 2015 during the International Marathi Film Festival Awards, his female co-stars Deepali Sayyad, Tanishaa Mukerji, and Monali Thakur accused that Kapil had misbehaved with them. Earlier, Kapil declined all the allegations, but later on, Kapil tweeted I fall, I rise, I make mistakes, I live, I learn, I’ve been hurt, but I am alive. After the tweet of Kapil Sharma, Manohar Pawar, the vigilance officer of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, said that we request Mr. Sharma to share the name of the official and enable BMC to take strict action.
Even the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, said that Kapilbhai please provide the full information. Moreover, as per the reports, officials alleged that Kapil had carried out some internal changes illegally without the permission of BMC.
