Fabolous’s real name is John David Jackson, but most people know him by his stage name Fabolous. He began his career when he was in high school.
Moreover, he first gained recognition when he performed live on American music executive DJ Clue’s radio show, then on Hot 97. Since then Fabolous achieved new heights in the music industry and never looked back.

Fabolous Early Life
He was born on 18 November 1977. Moreover, he is of Dominican and African-American descent. John grew up in the Breevort Houses in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of the Brooklyn borough of New York City.
When he was in school, he began to pursue a career in hip-hop music. During that time, he raps under the name Fabolous Sport, a reference to Ralph Lauren’s Polo Sport line.
However, later on, he only shortened the name to Fabolous. The creation of his name was totally unintentional. He originally wanted it to be Fabulous. But John spelled it incorrectly during freestyle, and it stuck.

From (2001 – 2009)
Fabolous gets invited to rap live on American record producer and music executive DJ Clue’s radio show. Later on, he even gets invited to New York City radio station Hot 97.
After some time, Dj Clue signed Fabolous for his record label Desert Storm Records. Then he was featured on several Dj Clue mixtapes.
Moreover, due to this, Fabolous got a distribution deal with Elektra Records. In September 2001, he released his debut album which debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and sell more than 140K copies within the first week.
Later on, in March 2003, he released his second album, Street Dreams. The album song “Can’t Let You Go” reaches the Rhythmic Top 40 chart and number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Seven months after the release of his album, he dropped his official mixtape, More Street Dreams, Pt. 2: The Mixtape. His third album, Real Talk, was released in 2004. However, it only sells 179K copies, the lowest in his career.
In 2004 he was also nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2004 he wished to launch his own clothing line, but he was finally able to do that in 2006 and named it Rich Yung Society.
Later on, in 2006, Fabolous left his contract with Atlantic and officially signed a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings.
In 2007 he launched his fourth album, From Nothin’ to Somethin’, which was a huge success, and more than 159K copies are sold within the first week.
He released his fifth album Loso’s Way, in July 2009. Furthermore, the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and more than 99K Copies are sold within the first week. It was his first album that tops the chart.
From (2010 – Present)
In March 2010, Fabolous released his fourth solo mixtape There Is No Competition 2: The Funeral Service. Moreover, due to the popularity of the mixtape, he re-released it for retail in the form of an extended play.
In 2011 on Christmas day he released, There Is No Competition 3: Death Comes in 3, which is the third part of his There Is No Competition mixtape series.
In November 2012, he released his seventh mixtape, The SOUL Tape 2. Furthermore, in the same year, he announced his sixth album, Loso’s Way 2: Rise to Power, would release in 2013.

In 2003 he got arrested for possessing an unlicensed gun in his car. However, later on, his bodyguard shows proof of ownership of the gun.
In October 2006, he got shot in his right leg. After the shooting, he and his entourage were charged with criminal possession of a defaced firearm and criminal possession of a weapon after being pulled over for running a red light where police discovered two unlicensed guns.
