He was born on 24 May 1981 in Australia. His father is Michael, and his mother is Magret Lee. Andy has a younger sister Alex Miles and an older brother Cameron.
His sister Alex writes pantomimes and stars in the comedy stage show Porky Pies. Moreover, Andy started the band Zoophyte with his brother Cameron.
Andy attended the Balwyn Primary School and then Camberwell Grammar School. Furthermore, he was also a member of the Scouting Movement.

Andy and Hamish team up with Ryan Shelton and some others to create a show called Radio Karate for RMIT University’s student television company RMITV.
Moreover, they also appeared on RMIT’s student radio station SYN and subsequently even had a few spot projects on FOX FM.
Later on, Andy and Hamish host a television comedy program, The Hamish and Andy Show, on Australia’s Seven Network. However, the show was canceled shortly due to the bad ratings.
After this show, Hamish and Andy almost always performed together. So they are currently consistently referred to as Hamish & Andy.
