If you’re considering using Nicotine Pouches, then you’re making one of the best decisions you probably could make in your life, as you’re entering the world of smoke & vapour free alternative Nicotine products which will help curb nicotine cravings and deliver Nicotine in a safe and inhale-free way!

But imagine the dilemma you can face when you go to buy nicotine pouches and do not know what nicotine strength would be right for you to use, as there’s quite a few to choose from and it’s absolutely essential to choose the correct Nicotine strength to ensure you have a good experience with Nicotine Pouches.

In this blog, I’m going to discuss how different nicotine strengths within the Nicotine pouches you buy can have different effects and also explain why it’s crucial to get the right strength and keep those cravings at bay, as well as not overdoing it at the same time.

    What Are Nicotine Pouches?

Nicotine Pouches have gained in popularity amongst people who are looking to either quit smoking, or move on from using an E-Cigarette and use something that does not emit any form of smoke or vapour like the previous mentioned there.

They are small and soft pouches, normally white in colour, and these house the powder nicotine solution that has been specifically created to be used and make Nicotine Pouches. The pouches are a soft material due to the fact that they are placed in the mouth, resting between the gum and upper lip and they remain there for around 45 minutes so it’s fairly important the material is soft so it does not aggravate the gum or lip.

Inside of each pouch is a powder nicotine solution, which comprises of Nicotine of course, as well as essential ingredients required such as fillers and stabilisers and also flavourings too. The amount of Nicotine inside each pouch is dependent on the strength it’s made at, so a higher nicotine strength would obviously contain more Nicotine.

The size of the pouches also varies, with smaller ones being available which normally means a lower nicotine strength due to the fact it cannot house a lot of the solution, the standard size, and also larger pouches for if you want a higher nicotine strength.

Choosing The Right Nicotine Strength For You

So we’ve established what Nicotine Pouches are, and the fact they come in different sizes, flavours and of course Nicotine strengths. Choosing a flavour is probably the easier decision out of the lot, as you’ll want to pick something you enjoy the flavour of as this is what the Nicotine Pouch is going to taste like! I prefer using a Mint flavour with my Pouches as this gives a nice refreshing taste while getting my Nicotine fix!

But choosing the right Nicotine strength isn’t so simple and straight forward unfortunately and it can be tricky but fear not, this is what I’m going to explain to give you a better understanding!

You’ll want to aim for a Nicotine strength that relates to your tolerance for Nicotine, and also matches up to either how many cigarettes you’d previously smoked in a day if you are transitioning from smoking to using Pouches or relating to the nicotine strength vape juice you used if you are moving on from using E-Cigarettes.

Nicotine Pouches are available in various different nicotine strengths as to cater to each persons individual needs. Starting as low as 4mg and ranging way up to 16mg and beyond, there really is a strength for everyone, but how do you know your strength?

If you were a “light smoker” and smoked less than 10 cigarettes a day, chances are you’re going to have a fairly low tolerance for Nicotine and won’t need to be using a high Nicotine strength, so something like a 4mg or 6mg Nicotine Pouch would suit you best. This also applies if you used a low strength vape juice like 3mg/6mg.

If you were in the mid range of the smoking scale, and smoked more than 10 cigarettes but less than 20, you’ll be aiming for a mid range strength like 8mg or 10mg as you will be used to taking on board high dosages of Nicotine, and this won’t be too overwhelming for you.

And finally, if you were a heavy smoker of 20 cigarettes a day, you’re going to have quite a high tolerance as well as dependence for Nicotine, and you should be very comfortable using a Nicotine strength such as 12mg or higher when it comes to Nicotine Pouches.

Try and stick to this advice when choosing your nicotine strength, as if you opted for something too strong, chances are it’ll be too overpowering for you and you won’t have a pleasant experience using Nicotine Pouches!
