Zakir Khan Early Life
He was born on 20 August 1987 in Indore Madhya Pardesh, but his grandparents belong to Rajasthan. His father Ismail Khan is a music teacher and his mother Kulsum Khan is a homemaker.
Zakir has two brothers Zeeshan Khan and Arbaz Khan, and his grandfather is Ustad Moinuddin Khan who is veteran Indian classical instrumentalist and vocalist.
He has attended Indore’s St. Paul Higher Secondary School. Moreover, during an early age, he has to change several schools because of the bully that he faces because of his skin colour.
After completing the school, Zakir enrolled himself in a college to do B.Com, but he dropped out of that college soon because he doesn’t have much interest in his subjects.
As he was born into a musical family and his father is a music teacher. So from a young age, he has an interest in the music. When he dropped out of college, he pursues a diploma in Sitar.
Furthermore, at that time, he wanted to be a radio producer, and for that, he moved to Delhi. Zakir has spent a large portion of his adult life in Delhi.
When he was in Delhi, he did radio programming at ARSL for a year but later on, he shifted to the Jaipur to do an internship. Once Zakir completes his internship, he again comes back to Delhi.

Early Carrer to Success
When Zakir moved to Delhi, he tried his luck in several fields. But later on, he finally gets a job of a copywriter and the main researcher at HT Media Ltd.
He worked with that company for four years. While working his roommate encourage him to do open mics. So he started performing in cafes, and people started liking his jokes, and even people start giving him the standing ovations.
At that time he was also called to Mumbai for writing the script for a news comedy show On Air With AIB. But he comes into the limelight in 2012 when he won the Comedy Central’s India’s Best Stand Up Comedian show.
Furthermore, he also got popularity for his punchline “Sakht Launda” which was very famous among teens. The word “Sakht Launda” means a guy that has very much self-control so the girls could not easily manipulate him.
In 2015 he again worked on the show On Air with AIB but this he not only wrote but also co-host the show. Later on, in 2017, he appeared as a mentor on the show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
